* PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOLS ACCEPTANCE
Students in 8th grade prepare violin auditions for Performing Arts High Schools and conservatories.
Alumni of this program have been accepted to La Guardia High School, Juilliard Pre-College & MAP, and The Manhattan School of Music.
Band
Though safety protocols prevented in-person band instruction over the pandemic, our instrumentalists kept going strong over Zoom and we are now back in person! Students have the opportunity to work on the solo music of their choice as well as ensemble work, coached by Ms. Emma Copp, culminating in virtual and live performances.
Ukulele
Our 3rd and 4th grade students spend one period per week learning the ukulele! With Ms. Emma Copp, students apply their understanding of rhythm and practice reading chord charts. Classes work on a wide array of classic and popular songs via play-along videos.
