PK4A General Information and Schedule

Students in PK4 arrive daily from 7:50 - 8:15 am

During this time we:

- unpack - learning to do this independently this year!

- Morning Work - coloring, tracing, or writing related to current theme

- Read and work quietly while the teachers help students settle in and adjust to our routine

*At 8:15 the Francis Building Doors (entrance and exit) will be closed and you'll have to see security for a late pass.

7:50 - 8:15 am : Arrival / Unpack / Morning Work
8:20 - 8:30 am (building up to this!) : Morning Meeting (calendar, phonics, counting, songs, religion)
8:30 - 9:00 am : ELA - whole group and small groups
9:00 - 9:30 am : Math - whole group and small groups
9:30 - 10:00 am : Story & Recall / SNACK
10:00 - 10:30 am : Recess / Dance & Movement
10:30 - 11:30 am : Small Groups - ELA, Math, Sci, SS (integrated through hands on play)
Clean Up / Special Meeting Time (letter of the week, songs, games, stories)
11:45 - 12:15/12:20 : Lunch (everyone uses the bathroom during or after lunch)
12:25 - 1:00 pm : Rest Time (quiet music / guided meditation story)
1:05 - 2:15 pm : FREE CHOICES and Play Centers (pack up during this time with teacher support)
2:30 pm : End of Day Meeting (song and recall what we did and learned today)
2:45 pm : PK4 Lines up to DISMISS!

*Gym Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
French: Monday, Wednesday
Music: Tuesday, Friday
Art: Integrated weekly!
