Good Afternoon 4th Grade Parents,
The 4th graders will have a math angles project due on Friday, February 28th (2 weeks). The students will have to look for angles all around them! I challenged them to find 3 acute angles, 3 right angles, and 3 obtuse angles. They can either take pictures of these objects that create these angles or sketch/draw a picture of them.
Examples/Ideas:
Students can draw/take a picture of 2 chopsticks creating an acute angle as they're waiting for their dinner to arrive.
Students can draw/take a picture of a frame of a painting creating a right angle as they visit a museum.
Students can draw/take a picture of a beach chair creating an obtuse angle if they go to a beach.
After they have collect the 9 pictures/drawings, then they may either create a powerpoint slide presentation, brochure, or a poster to share their angles with their classmates. They are more than welcome to find more than just 9 angles if they would like.
I did explain the project to them in class today, but if they forget what the angles look like, then I am going to put a video link on my classroom website to help them.
I hope they have fun looking for angles all around them in the next 2 weeks! I'm excited for them to share the angles they find with their classmates!
I hope you have a wonderful and safe February Break!
Kind regards,
Ms. Koch
