Our mathematicians are using geoboards to explore area and perimeter. They also learned a new song to help them remember the formula for perimeter. Ask your mathematician to sing it to you! It goes like this:
"Perimeter is all around! Perimeter is all around! Oh! Oh! Don't you know perimeter is all around!
You add up all the sides! You add up all the sides! Oh! Oh! Don't you know you add up all the sides!"
