Social Studies-7 Assignments

1. Skim through Section 1. This is a long section regarding the Industrial Revolution. Look at page 368- Under the term OBJECTIVES - answer the 4 questions listed. 1.Identify, 2. Explain, 3. Describe, and 4. Identify. Your answers to these four questions should be more than one sentence. This is due on Friday. Submit your answer in a Google doc via Google Classroom.

- Go to You Tube - Type in Manifest Destiny - Look for Manifest Destiny( Look for Mr. Raymond's Civics Class - 13.32). Watch the video. Take notes. This is due on Friday.
Based on the video, and skim Lessons 6.5-6.7, answer the following questions.

1. Read through the section and answer the following: page 316- Summarize, page 319 -Recall, and page 322- Recall. The 3 questions should be answered in complete sentences. This is due on Thursday.

1. Instead of reading from the textbook, you will be watching the following videos: Go to you tube and type in Mr. Raymond's Civics Academy - Watch Age of Jackson - Parts 1, 2, and 3. You should take notes while viewing.
2. Assignment - Essay - Describe the Legacy of Jackson. What did he accomplish? What problems did he face? Why is he an important figure in American History? Your essay should be about three paragraphs. It should be submitted in a Google doc via Google Classroom. THIS IS DUE AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY ON THURSDAY.

For this section, concentrate on the following sections : pp283-287, and pp. 293- 294. On page 295 - complete # 8 and # 9. This will count as a test grade. This is due on Thursday. Watch your grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. Your response to each question may be more than one paragraph.

Read Section5.5. Explain the importance of each of the following terms: 1. War Hawks, 2. nationalism, 3. Hartford Convention, 4. Henry Clay, 5. Battle of New Orleans, 6. confederation, 7. Francis Scott Key, 8. What British actions led to the War of 1812?, 9. What achievement made Andrew Jackson well known throughout the country?, 10. What was the impact of the Treaty of Ghent? Explain.

Please read section 5.4 regarding Jefferson. This assignment is different Look at page 296 and the 4 objectives listed. Your task is to answer those 4 objectives. Your answer should be longer than a sentence or two. Please submit this task on Thursday. You have enough time to complete this task because of your other subjects.
