Say Hello to VGo!
Class 2B have welcomed a new visitor to their classroom. In August of this year one of our incoming 2nd Grade students was diagnosed with leukemia. Although he is responding well to treatment, sometimes the side effects and the treatments themselves make it difficult for him to come to school. VGo is a mobile robot which enables a home or hospital bound student to attend school and socialize with their friends just as if they were there. VGo is a 4ft high robot appliance with integrated camera, screen and audio system that can be operated from any internet connected computer. However, this technology is expensive and when considering the funding for this we were humbled and grateful when a parent came forward and offered to pay for this robot. The parents that donated the robot to the school wish to remain anonymous, however we thank them for this very generous gift which embodies the spirit of giving that this community embraces.
