New Family Task List!

1) If your child has been baptized, and you did not supply the baptismal certificate with the application, please email a copy of that certificate to me now for our records.
Summer Work Assignments

Please find below the summer assignments.  Where there is Edgenuity assigned, please have your student log into the website used for their admissions assessment and proceed to work through the diagnostic pre tests for both reading and math, using the guidelines set forth in the assignments listed above.  Students do not need to aim to finish all of the diagnostics, simply work to complete the minutes per week or summer that were set.
School Supply Lists
If you did not purchase your school supplies through EduKit, you can find the school supply lists below. Students in Pre-K 3 through Kindergarten will have their supplies ordered directly by school and a $75 fee will be assessed in the family's Blackbaud (formerly Smart) tuition account on the October 10th statement.

YELLOW BUS TRANSPORTATION SERVICE for 2022-2023

Bus service is offered to eligible Kindergarten - Gr. 6 students. Please email Mrs. Rodriguez, [email protected]org with your child’s name, current grade and home address.  Subject line should read:  YELLOW BUS SERVICE 2022-2023. The Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) only processes bus requests for the following school year after the current school year concludes.

Below are our current bus stops so you can see if your child may be eligible for service based on your home address.
- - - Adam Clayton Powell & 127th Street
- - - Fifth Avenue & East 118th Street
- - - Second Avenue & East 109th Street
- - - Second Avenue & East 101st Street
- - - Madison Avenue & East 95th Street
- - - Broadway & West 96th Street
- - - Main Street & East Road (Roosevelt Island)
- - - First Avenue & East 58th Street
- - - First Avenue & East 67th Street

Keep in mind that eligibility for service is based on distance from school and age/grade level.  A student that was eligible for service while in 2nd grade, may not be eligible when in 3rd grade based on distance to school.  The older a student is, the farther from school they would need to live to continue service.  Unfortunately, students in Pre-Kindergarten as well as Grade 7 and 8 are not eligible for yellow bus service.

If there is not a bus stop listed above near to your home address, but you would like to request service, please email Mrs. Rodriguez with your request and include your address and she will put in a stop request to the OPT.  Please know that there are no guarantees that OPT will grant the request for additional stops to existing routes.  However, there may be the possibility that the OPT will create a new route to accommodate requests for stops that can’t be added to existing routes due to the maximum number of miles a school is allowed to have.

All questions should be directed to Mrs. Rodriguez via email:  [email protected]org

Please see the below emails regarding administrative changes at St. Stephen of Hungary School.
Throughout this pandemic, St. Stephen of Hungary School has remained open for in person instruction for our students by following all of the guidelines put forth by the Archdiocese, based on CDC and NY State mandates.  In recent months, these guidelines have been quickly changing, and restrictions have been loosened.  Below are some of the communications that families have received from both the Archdiocese and Ms. Burke.  They are listed by date, with the most recent information at the top.  This information will help you understand what guidelines and protocols are currently being followed by the school.
