WELCOME BACK TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR 2019-2020!
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as well as welcome you all back to the start of another fantastic school year!
Words are not enough to express the level of excitement I possess from recently becoming a member of Saint Stephen of Hungary School as a 6th Grade English Language Arts/Lower School French teacher! My teaching philosophy is that all students are capable of academic achievement if they are given the proper attention and source of inspiration to succeed. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
I believe that it is my calling to teach in Catholic schools. I have been a Catholic school/private school educator for ten years at all grade levels. I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University and have taken courses at the masters level in Educational Leadership. I also have had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading and writing and recently, I took an interest in Paleo cooking. I look forward to teaching your child and working with you to help them achieve their fullest potential. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.
