Sixth Grade

Welcome Back

It was with great pleasure I received the news that I was going to be the 6th Grade Homeroom Teacher.  I hope everyone had a summer full of activities with friends and family. Hopefully, each student is as eager as I am to start the new year.

I look forward to an exciting year in the 6th Grade. There will be many familiar faces and some new faces in our classroom too. It will be a year that will be challenging, but I am sure productive for all of us. It is an important year as you take a step into Middle School. You will be encouraged to set many goals on your road to academic success. We will work together to ensure you reach the goals you have set. It is a journey which will be filled with knowledge you gain during the year and a continual delight in learning.

On a personal level, each of you will receive guidance from the faculty and administration to ensure you are the best person you can be.

As the summer winds down everyone should have their Summer Reading completed.  There will be a scheduled test on these novels. All students have received a supply list and should be prepared to start class on the first day of school.

Parents are an integral part of the success of each child and I anticipate a good working relationship with each of you. Classroom policy and details of the upcoming year will be shared with you on Back to School Night.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer!                                                                                              Mrs. Usiak
